This course identifies tools, technology and techniques used in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. It includes an overview of the applications or systems composed of technical processes, methods, software and hardware that have evolved and streamlined certain functions in the workplace.
Course Outcomes: At the end of the course the
students will be able to; 1.
Articulate
and discuss the latest developments in the field of information and
communication technology in tourism and hospitality industry. 2. Perform basic functions of
management such as planning, organizing, leading and controlling. 3. Apply information and
communication technology skills required by business environment 4. Manage and market service
oriented business organization 5. Show ability to perform in a
multicultural work place and work effectively as a team in globally- diverse
environment. 6. Exemplify professional,
social and ethical responsibility. 7. Utilize various communication
channels proficiently in dealing with guest and colleagues.
